Today I masked the car, then put 1 coat of Lizard Skin Sound Control formula on the underside followed by 2 coats of there Ceramic Insullation formula..... I unmasked it and picked up my mess before leaving.....

Here it is masked up, scuffed down, wiped off and ready to be coated......

Here is what it looked like before I leaft, I am sure the shinny spots will be gone once it dry's thouroghly.....

How did you find it to work with? I'm interested to hear what it's like once it sets up...I stuck between that, and Raptor liner for the bottom of my car...

Relatively easy to work with, if you have every sprayed undercoating out of a gun it's basically the same..... I know the Raptor liner works well too as a sound deadner, but it doesn't provide a provide a good heat barrier like the Lizard Skin CI.....

Mine was still drying, I will know how it sets up next weekend.....I do have a car at work that was in body shop hell for a few years that has Lizard Skin SC on the interior floors, it was sprayed approx 5 years ago and it is very durable.....

Nothing got done yesterday, I went to Bradenton Motorsports Park to watch some racing.....

Today I got the bottoms of the rear quarters and around the fenderwell openings sanded, primed and painted..... I messed up the paint around the opening a little and the bottoms of the quarters have a recess in them which was never painted from the factory which bot needed to be corrected..... Looks like the new paint is a little darker then the original 41 year old paint, imagine that..... I think it will fine once it completely dries and it's all wet sanded and buffed.....

Next week I will finally be able to put something back on rather then just removing parts..... The springs, rear end and such will be going in.....

Here's a couple quick pic's of the rear fenderwell openings after painting them.....

Looks sweet, Frank. So, is painting the fender like that considered "cutting in"? Does that make it easier once you paint the remainder of the fender? Or are you leaving the original paint as is?

The factory paint is staying for the time being..... I did this because I messed up the paint under the fenderwell lip when modifying for tire clearance, also the bottoms of the rear corners and under the ends of the rear valence had no paint at all from the factory..... I have 2 other small spots to repair, plus the usual touch ups..... I am also adding a grabber spoiler which will need to be painted, after that everything will be lightly wet sanded and buffed..... It should all look pretty close then.....

Looks really good, nothing that a little "cutting and buffing" won't fix. Old paint is sometimes hard to match, but it looks like you got it right.
