If anyone has their windshield currently unistalled, could I get them to take some measurements of the windshield opeing, especially the lower corners width. I am getting ready to weld in my lower cowl panels soon, and I think the car may have 'sprung' outwards a bit.

I should have used a turn-buckle or welded in a reinforcement rod to hold the front door hinge posts in place. I didn't, so now I am trying to get some sort of reference as to where to start.

Prefferrably, I would like to get measurements from an original, non-wrecked car.

    Thanks in Advance!

I can get them, but not until the end of the week. If you need them sooner, maybe someone can help you out.

55 1/2 inches exactly from inside edge to inside edge of the pinch weld. Right at the bottom corner.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks Glenn! I can't wait to see how close or not close my measurement is.

I am 1/4" too wide. It looks like I'll have to draw the door hinge area in a bit. On to plan "B".
