I've one that more than once - go in garage, turn on radio, look at car for a period of time - don't find any one part of the project that really excites me today - turn radio off - go back in house :biglaugh:

Exactly!! The list of modifications just gets longer and longer - I have enough projects to last me the rest of my life - I guess I'll have to drive it in my afterlife

Still not a happy camper, (driver that is) after the valve adjustments it does run better, but still not like it did the very first time I drove it, I can only hope the Pertronix dizzy I have coming in Thursday will help some, also looking into a carb, can't figure out if it's leaning out or what, does it around 2500 to 3000 rpm's, I know it can do better, it did at one time.....
    From this

to barely being able leave a mark in first gear :hmmm:

    And runs like crap!

Thanks guys, on my little outing last night I stopped to get gas at a place I hardly ever stop at, it was late I was on empty and they were the only close station open, put $20.00 in the tank and started it up, pulling out of the station it started stumbling, spitting and sputtering, I was like , got down the road a bit and it finally cleared up, I think it was water in the gas I got, won't go there again, today it runs even better than it did when I did that video, taking it to the beach tomorrow, car show starts Monday.

Stopped at a gas station/store last night on my way home from the Cruize-in on the beach, this is the same gas station my Blue Grabber got totaled in front of, those gas pumps are the one's I was headed for sliding backwards and sideways that night, I just thought it would be a nice little tribute to the Blue Grabber to take the Green Grabber to that spot, I went inside to get a cold Dew, the lady behind the counter said "who's green car is that?" I said mine, she said "is that a Maverick? can I get a picture of it?" I said yeah go ahead, she said "my first car was a Maverick" I guess I made her night, she seemed so happy just to snap a pic!
The Green Grabber and I paid our respect's to the Blue Grabber and went home.
