The new fender is at the point of the other fender that was bad. Lined the inside of the fender with SMART so it would hopefully prevent any damage if every a rock was thrown up inside the fender.

The fenders and hood should go back on for hopefully the final time tomorrow. The trunk is on but will come off one more time so we can shoot the jamb area around the trunk opening. I am hoping there will be color by Wednesday. Wet sanding starts tomorrow.

I am hoping this week there is some large amounts of progress. We should see it in color and the stripes painted on it.

I decided to paint the back panel flat black instead of keeping it yellow. I think it will look good with the cyber gray stripes. The plan is to lighten the cyber gray a couple of shades for the pin stripe around the main stripes.

I found to NOS splash shields and refurbished the other two. Bolted on the rear splash shields and they look great!

I got to tell you, this one chokes me up a bit. Many of us love our hobby but I get that lump in my throat every time I think about this car and the reveal. Much love and respect (yeah, I said love) you are doing a wonderful thing. :tiphat:

I love the look of final assembly when all of the different colors, coatings and finishes all come together :thumbs2:

I'm really interested to see how the wheels look, is there a noticeable difference between the two, since the have a slightly different offset? I'm planning on using the same wheels, but I didn't consider using a different offset for the front, my wheels have the same offset as your front wheels.

I went with the same rim offsets as Maverickman but I probably will have to change the rear offset because it seems to be really close. I will be able to tell better once I get the new rear leaf springs installed. I was really surprised that they did not have more room in the back. I went souly off his measurements.

With the 4.75 backspace on the rear, the wheel is pretty close to the bump stops on the rear frame rails. There should be a picture in my project thread, if that helps you.
