    And here is the carnage.

    This is about 3" long.

The piston and head tried their best to chew it up

... until something had to give. There is crack in the cylinder wall. I cant keep the water out long enough to snap a picture.

So now we start saving up for that new motor. I've got my eyes on a small 363 from Shafiroff. [IMG]

I don’t know whose taking pictures of your car but there coming out really well. Your car loves the camera, extremely photogenic, crisp, clear and great angles. I’ve enjoyed this entire thread, up to the time it turned into an engine build thread (sorry to see that). I look forward to seeing what you do, if its anything like the rest of this thread, I think we are all in for a treat.

I know they don't work for what you are doing now but I kinda miss those Hopsters. And has anyone else ever noticed that the rear wheels sit forward in the wheelwell? Not just Chris' car but everyone that I have owned.

Hey Chris sorry to here about your luck with the motor. It was nice to meet you and your Dad at SEMA. I wish I could of made it out to Pahrump to see the event.

On your motor take a look at Keith Craft Racing Engines much more of a Ford guy then Shafiroff will ever pretend to be. In any event good luck with it and stay in touch.

Likewise... Good luck with your project. Im sure we'll see plenty of it in the coming year. Let me know if there is anything I can help with.

I'll have to give Keith Craft another look. I have them on my list of potential builders and they are much closer to me than Shafiroff. For now thow, I may just be rebuilding what I have with a new block. Im not supposed to be spending money on the car this year but have too much in it now to just let it sit.

I loved the look on your car with those wheels so much! And with the stripeless hood it looked so clean:)

Now the look is so different, more like a mean protouring-racecar, I guess function before looks right? I still like it a lot, in fact it is one of my top five mavs on the site!
Congrats on the success, you sure are putting the name of the Maverick high!!
