That is one nice setup - looks like it was designed for that application. Nobody has convince me "Ur one Hell-of-A Crafstman". How long it take to figure that out? The cam setup the switches mounted - are alum?

Thanks..... The switch mount and cam are aluminum..... It wasn't to hard to figure out what I wanted to do, but I probably have 6 hrs in making and fitting everything.....

Today after cleaning up the crossmember and all trans attaching hardware I got the trans in the car..... I was also able to use the stock driveshaft with the addition of an conversion u-joint in the rear..... I had to separate the head and mid pipe for the exhaust due to the mid pipe hitting the driveshaft loop..... I am going to get a muffler this week and I will modify the mid pipe so it fits once again.....

Here is the goofy looking conversion u-joint(1310 to 1350) in the tiny stock 6 cyl driveshaft.....

and a shot of the trans in the car.....

Well now, that was fun..... It took me almost a week to re populate all the picture in the build due to some dummy deleting the photobucket album it was linked too.....

Now I can due the updates from last weekend.....

Last Friday I found that an old Powermaster 140 amp one wire alternator I had would fit in place of the stock one on the 6 cyl(I wasn't going to try and wire the stock alt/voltage reg in when I rewire the car)..... So I put the stock fan and pulley on the Powermaster and installed it on the motor..... I also removed the battery tray from the apron since the battery will be in the trunk(I still find it hard to believe the condition of normally damaged panels on this car.....

    Here is the alt installed.....

and here is the incredibly clean front apron that was under the battery tray.....

Saturday I put a flat on the side of the new braided rear brake hose so it would fit in the stock rear mounting tab..... Then I made and installed a stainless brake line from the rear hose to a little behind the left front torque box.....

Here is how I cut the flat on the brake hose fitting.....

and here is the stainless brake line running up the frame rail.....

Sunday I trimmed some filler panels I had previously made for the rear package tray and installed them..... I did this to block off some of the many holes in the package tray/rear seat area..... I made patterns for the corners in the rear seat area that are not in yet and cut them out this week.....

Here are some pic's of the panels installed.....

Frank, Do you think that powermaster 140 amp alternator would also fit in the stock location on a 302? Do you have a part number on it?

Very, very nice.................you certainly are an inspiration to everyone...or
at least me. I loved the way you ran the brake lines......first class!
Do you have a breather for the rear end and are you routing it to a catch can?

Yes it will..... The part numbers are 8-37140 for chrome and 8-57140 for thermal black coated..... The best part about these is they charge 80+ amps at idle and 140+ at crusing speed - they all come with a dyno tag attached.....

Thanks, there is a vent fitting just inside the left inner u-bolt(I have used the with out problems before, but I still may change it to a hose similar to the factory set up.....

Frank, it's been a while since I have been on here but, I always go to your build thread. It is like a still frame American HotRod episode.

I wish I could find the time (and talent hehehe) you have to work my Maverick and Fairlane. Keep up the awesome work!

When I tore my rear end out of the car, I brazed a pipe tube to the distribution block and ran a new hose to a 1qt overflow in the trunk. When I tore it out they had a hose going to from the distribution block to a "Coors Beer Can" attached with bailing wire..............go figure.......this actually passed NHRA Tech!!!!

    No problem my friend!!!!!

    Glad you enjoy it.....

It seems like I hardly have time to work on mine, otherwise it would probably be done already.... :hmmm:

Umm Coors!!!!! Oh sorry, I got distracted for a minute..... :rofl2:

It's remarkable what will pass tech sometimes.....
