I got to get the old one out. I've got all of the dash removed around the glove box. And I've pulled the fiberglass box out enough so I see the old heater core, but I can't get those clamps around the hoses off. They got slots for a flat head screwdriver, but one I know I won't be able to reach with the screwdriver. What tool should I use? Sizes, tool, etc.
can you cut the hoses under the hood, pull out the box. replace them with new ones, stick them through the firewall when you reinstall the box.
exactly. or if they are new-ish, take them off the motor and pull the hoses through the firewall with the box. its a biach but thats how you do it.
This is how I do it. Once the box is out of the car...take the hoses off the core. This also keeps the carpet from getting wet
yup. on a metal bracket, head of bolt aims straight down. close to that metal bar that holds the lower part of the dash tray in.
