    My question is (as seen in some of the latest pics) why did new cars at the dealer not have hubcaps installed? Maybe they were afraid of theft??

    When cars came in, the hubcaps were usually in the trunk to be installed by the dealer. I remember at my Dad's dealership new cars sitting out on the lot with no hubcaps. Must not have installed them until it sold???

    Adding hubcaps, detailing and making minor adjustments was part of the dealer "prep" before delivering a car to the customer.
