Does anyone have a line on these? I'm fatigued from googling...

I wonder if there would be enough interest from members to persuade Randy to build these in quantity, in addition to his spoilers?

Hmmm.. never searched his whole site that hard.. but does Randy even do louvers?

The biggest issue with these is that the trunk won't even open without hitting the bottom louver.

The one's that I have seen have no lower louver for that very reason and do not look quite right because of it. I would think that in order for them to be full height.. they would have to be made removable or hinged at the top for the sake of trunk access.

They sure do look killer and period correct though. If you guys do talk him into it.. have him make us some rear vent-window louvers while he's at it. :bouncy:

Do a search of this site, and see the fuss they have caused over the years. :)

I thought about doing some rear vent window louvers. Shouldnt be to hard to do. I have a extra set of rear windows because I dropped my newly painted one on the corner, and it destroyed it, and sent paint cracks all over the piece.

Read one of the threads and noticed that you wouldn't qualify as fan of these. :)

With regard to "1984," there are quite a few Mustang owners who have donned these on cars that are less than a decade old. I have them on my 2004 Mach I and receive compliments frequently. I mention Mustangs because that is where I've usually observed these.

Whether or not louvers are returning, I don't know. But there are quite a few people who are drawn to them. They are '70's vintage, right?

they're pretty far down my list.. but I WILL eventually mod a set from another model to fit my car. In my mind.. I can't really do without them. Especially since not many of you guys will have them too.

And when it's nearly done.. I'm fairly certain that Dave wouldn't be kicking it out of his garage. He would very likely change the color scheme on it.. but he still wouldn't disown it either. lol :p

What Comet Fever said. Factory louvers look great on a 69, 70 Mustang fastback, but on a Maverick or Comet they look like someone stole half of them.

Think I'll just make a set out of plywood and put a hinge on the lower slat...

Or just cover them with duct tape. 'Course black electrical tape would match my stripes...

I try to help out and suggest alternatives and no one takes me seriously. "I tell ya, I don't get no respect".
