I have actually found that a good 150 amp alt will actually be faster at the dragstrip the no alt..... Between the MSD ignition requirements and all the electric accessories like fuel pumps, water pumps, fans and such.....

Yes the ignitions today require or at least run their best above 12 Volts. So by turning morning you could actually lose horsepower. So Frank why such a large relay to cutout the alternator? All you really need to do is interrupt the field wire.

It's capable of 250 amp..... It doesn't interrupt the field wire, it interrupts the main power wire on the back of a 150-200 amp one wire alt.....

My last post should have read "turning off the alternator". Dumb phone! My point was if you could interrupt the field wire you could have used much cheaper relay. I didn't realize you had a 1-wire though.

Today I finished the wiring in the trunk except for the fuel sender and pump(I will hook them up when I get the tank in the car)..... I put a trunk light in and added a plug for my battery tender.....

Here is the battery tender plug and trunk light.....

Got the battery cable and alternator feed wire routed through the inner quarter area..... I installed both inner quarter cover panels and seam sealed them up..... I also cut the rear floor plug for the pass side to clear the frame connector and installed both floor plugs with seam sealer..... Next week I will be able to clean and scuff the floors, then finally get some Lizard Skin on the floors and rear seat areas.....

I did a little long over due shop cleaning in between today too, while cleaning I had the car outside and took a few pic's of it.....

Here is the pass side inner quarter area, then both sides with panels in place and seam sealed.....

Then I take it that both the battery cable and alternator feed wire then run though the slot under the sill plate and then behind the front kick panel? :)

i would be very interested in your battery relocation as i will need to wire mine soon. what size gauge did you use, did you put the solenoid in the trunk as well, how do you fix it that it doesnt rub open the wire, did you put your ground to the trunk metal or did you pull it to the front, why two hot wires....?

could you explain me a bit more details how you did all this things?
    thanks alooot!
