I got sick of looking at the tailight panel...I started working on it just less than 2 years ago now (Feb 26 2012)...and got side tracked...after a few hours of grinding the welds, and filling a few pin holes, a little more cleaning, and it should be ready for epoxy. The red trunk lid is actually one of the few things left, from my very first Maverick.
Tomorrow, we'll be working on the console, adapting the 68 Shelby console to fit a Maverick or Comet with the package tray, to start. The one shown is for a 69 Mustang.
Wow!! You've been busy! The tailight panel looks really good. What gauges are you putting in the console?
I don't know, it should have a big enough pan for one of the newer style double din deck, then the gauges can be mounted in the location of the factory radio. The place that cuts the pans, does it with a laser, and they have the cutout to do that, he's done a few for GPS on Mustangs. Thanks Rusty!
This is going to look great.. By the looks of the green tape I'm guessing your going to extend it up to the package tray... Awesome
Nothing really exciting. I decided to test fit the seats with the LDO tracks, since I needed to take a break from the metal work. Plus I did some more work to the console.
I think they are 86 Mustang GT seats, they came with the car...They actually aren't bad, I sat there for 1/2 an hour...not pretending I was in Australia...
