Hi, I am just wondering how i could go about this, the seats don't have any hardware and the maverick doesn't have any seat hardware either and im just wondering what you guys would suggest i do to install these seats. And any info like where to get parts and everything would be much appreciated, my original plan was to buy factory mustang sliders and brackets to install these into the maverick?

Only Maverick/Comet bucket seat tracks will bolt directly in. If you can't find some, your only other option is to fabricate custom seat tracks. Mustang tracks will not work (but the seats will).

If you have to drill new holes through your floorboards, at any place that doesn't have any extra factory floor support, back up your holes with at least large washers - I found out just how thin the floor metal is when welding in replacement sections - I was going to weld some support plates under the floor for my buckets just in case :)

Ditto to what Mav1970 said. I installed buckets from a 69/70 Mustang in my 1970 Maverick way back in 1972. I don't remember the specifics, only that it was not that difficult. Using a bit of redneck engineering I used the mustang seat rails and adjusted the height using galvanized pipe and longer bolts. I dressed the outside using oak, sanded and painted. You could also dress the outside with bits of carpeting. I ran the new bolt through a hole drilled through the wood. I recall that everything fit nicely and was well supported. Have pictures of this swap somewhere.

He has a 77 Maverick, are the catalytic converter cars a little different?

In everyone's opinion what would be easier buying mustang rails and tracks or buying maverick tracks and fitting mustang seats? I'm really on the fence about this because I don't have a clue

If you have a 1977 Maverick and it still has the cat hump in the floor, then you need to try and find the cat hump bucket seat tracks.

so i have some new information i have the ability to purchase a 77 front bench seat for the maverick but i have no idea the set up underneath the seat so i am wondering if the tracks from a bench would help or would they cause me some problems?

A bench seat only has two seat tracks, to install buckets, you will need four. Since your car is a 77, it makes things more complicated, side the passenger side floor has a provision for a catalytic converter. Starting in 75, cars with buckets used seat tracks designed just for Mavericks & Comets. If you are looking for a direct bolt in, you'd be best off finding a set of 75-77 bucket seat tracks.

Even more new news I have just purchased a 1970 shell with no rust that I'm swapping the motor into this weekend, so that gets rid of the catalytic bumps does this make my options better for rails?

1970 Mavericks never had bucket seats, and the floor is not designed to work with any bucket seat tracks. It will be trial and error no matter what you use in a 1970.

I don't think my last post makes sense, my plan is to install a bench seat from a 1977 maverick into a 1970 maverick, will this work okay?
