Finally! Trunk done :)

My 70 trunk completed! Whew! LOL

 

'Looks good, but won't be 100% done until you install the divider behind the back seat.

 

Yeah, it's still drying Once it's done, I'll put it up

 

What Product did you use?

 

It was just Duplicolor Splatter Paint in speckle. Looks real good in person.

Hard to believe my 70 Maverick's trunk "used" to look like this at one time

 

This was ALL surface rust, even the gas tank had to come out. So now it looks new again

You can make it look like this pretty easy actually!

 

I might have gone a tad bit past saving it now Dianne

All 4 sides of my gas tank well were rotted out and I already had a 16 gallon cell laying around from a stock car so I used it

 

It looks OK You can speckle paint it and weld in more around the tank!

 

I still have to finish the floor up to the cell and my original tank went to someone who just bought a 70 that had no gas tank so it went to a good home

Thanks, it was a LOT of work getting all the surface rust in there out believe it or not! But I like it and have a factory replica mat to go in it in grey plaid also

 

I did use trunk splatter paint the first time that I did my trunk but it then sat for at least 15 years - it held up pretty good for sitting that long - I'm sure yours will look good for a long time

 

My 4 Misfit Fords are gonna be with me till I pass

I love all of them! Could get a Mustang II Ghia, but just no place to put it
