Old License Plates

The '57 Ranchero the 429SCJ plate came from. Was built and raced in Maryland in the late 60's and came to GA in the late 70's. It was named "Isolation 2". Don't know why it was named that. Was raced into the early 80's until the guy who built it was killed in a motorcycle accident.

      W O W. N I C E. THAT is one AWESOME vehicle!!! Is it slotted for restoration soon? I sure hope so. gotta see that thing on the road.

      I doubt it will ever be restored at this point. He had it up for sale on the side of the road last year for several months for $1500, absolutely no interest in it at all. It would be a TON of work to restore it. I was crawling around up under it and noticed that that frame is rusted through in a spot. Really all it would probably be good for is to just build a tube chassis drag racer out of it or something.

      I'm probably going to end up getting the '57 9 inch out from under it, direct bolt in into a Maverick. Who knows what gear or differential it has in it also, since it was an old drag racer. Probably something good.
