Drilling out many spot welds. If you are patient its is a pretty easy job. To do it right (In my opinion) you have to remove the windshield, there are about 23 spot welds under the windshield gasket along the upper cowl. there are also two sections (one on each side) with 12-14 spot welds each connecting the cowl to the inner fender area. I know there are a couple of threads in the appropriate forums with pictures and good info on removing the cowl. Many, many owners of Mavericks have had to do it.
