Got the new 250 mounted today. Next steps, clean it up, figure out what I need to pull and keep from the old engine, and slap it back together....
This is the 250 I got from RMiller to replace mine that threw a rod. Have to clean it up and salvage oil pan from the old one.
Definitely going to try to bring it back to life! Interesting that you encouraged me to "try" given your signature ;)

Good to know. I'll try to keep things simpler by sticking with a 250 if possible.
Don't know if it had any work done. My dad also thinks someone must've made a mistake/left something loose on a rebuild for this kind of failure.
