I have a 1-owner, 73 Comet Gt that's in the midst of resto. I found a 73 4 dr that is in excellent condition with all the parts I need (under the hood) to re-do mine. Both are 302's w/ AC & PS. Only problem, is the 4 dr has 85K miles and it's really too good to part out? What would something like this be worth just as a driver? They are around $1700 for it.:confused:
Yes...that car would have brought more. I hate to see a really nice 4-door get parted out. Maybe post up some pictures. This is a 4-door I bought as a "parts car". Once I got it home, got it running (302 V-8 AC car), and cleaned it up (interior was full of trash)....it was just too nice to part out. I ended up selling it to a member on here from Nebraska. Haven't heard what he has done with it.
4 dr It is a bit of a dilemma. It's hard to part out a perfectly good classic to restore another one! Maybe I'll just drive it and see what happens. They want $1700, but maybe they'll go down to $1K?
