i have hookers as well ( dirty minds think a like) and they fit nicely...of course when i put mine in .....the engine was going in...so i put the headers in..then dropped the block in and then built up around them...so i didnt have an issue

i had the Summit 'el cheapo headers (like $79.99 i think) they DID NOT fit at all...so i took them to my local speed shop where they gave me 75 for mine and sold me the last pair and only pair of headers for a 302...hookers... and they fit with zero problems...

gotta love it when a rough day turns around and brightens up on ya... :)
thats why i go back there....they took the time to earn my business...

i have the 6901's in mine. i'm happy with them. once you understand how they fit it's really no big deal. by the way stmanser did you take them back to don's hot rod shop or to townsends? pretty good of them to take them back.:)

I have a column shift on my 351w, It has an old set of poor fitting blackjack Alumacote headers. The linkage is modified slightly for clearance. Is this the area that everyone has a problem with? I'd like to find a better set of headers but I don't know if I'll have a problem with the column shift with another brand. If this picture doesn't work follow the link.

I looked up the shorties mentioned above and they are 1 1/2" primaries. Does anybody make 1 5/8" shorties for a 302 Maverick?
