Ford EEC computers

I plan on using Ford fuel injection in the car I'm working on now.
I know the 9AL computer is the best one to have (5.0L/5-speed)
I'm wondering, can you reprogram these? I have a few different one's I've pulled out of cars I've stripped..
I also know about "TwEECer", could I buy that, and use any computer?

It always amazes me, that the internet is so huge! I love finding a whole new world.

 

if you don't wanna go TwEECer or PMS I offer the SCT 4 bank chips, I would just need a list of MAF, Injectors etc.

A more in depth option would be to run MegaSquirt, they offer adaptor boards for the A9? computers as well as a wiring harness to make it a little easier.

 

Chips are so 1996.........Even 16 year old kids are doing RTP nowadays.

 

At the risk of sounding dumb or showing my age I have to ask
WTF RTP?

 

Real time programing, basically tuning on the fly. Without having to swap chips or waiting to load bins..... you can just have the ECU hooked up directly to the Laptop.
