i know header questions get asked all the time but ive read alot of past posts and none are specific enough for me

i want to know how well the hooker headers fit, were they a pain to put in,did you have to raise the engine, please post problems

and im planning to get a floor automatic shifter kit so i can put them.:thumbs2:

And i know the shock towers are a sqeeze and a pain

    thanks

For me, all I had to do was raise the engine on the drivers side a few inches and wrestle that one in. I let that side back down and the passenger side went right in no problem. Do the drivers side first.
Only fitment issue for me is the pitman arm hits a tube a bit before full lock turning left.
    No big deal to me.

Same as Ray. Not a bad fit. Especially after you do it a couple of times. Just have to get a system down. You have the advantage that others can tell you how to do it. :)

It's not hard the passenger side goes right in and you onl have to jack the drivers side up about 4 inches

I couldn't make a left (I think) turn with 6901 to save my life. I would turn if I got on it, but it was lifting the engine to swing under the tube

I don't have the Hookers but I have headers. I had to raise the engine as mentioned but I also had to have the car up on some tall stands.

I found that the drivers side went in pretty dry. I got the header part way in then lowered the engine part way down and it slid right in. An extra set of hands will really help too. i did it alone the first time.

i bought some summit headers but i couldnt get them to even clear the shock towers but im going to give it a second try with hooker because many people say they fit the best, and this was before i knew i need a psdb and auto floor shifter.:hmmm:

many people insist summit headers fit but ill believe it when i see it.:hmmm:

Mine are Black Jacks. I don't know if they would have been a problem cause someone before me banged the hell out of the shock towers.
You have an advantage now. You found us early. I didn't find this place till my motor and trans was already in for the second time. Otherwise I would have shaved the towers. I just want to get it on the road now. Ask and search all you can when you get into a pinch or think of something you want to try. It may save some time and fustration.
