I went to work yesterday to pull a rear end out of an explorer that was sent in by one of the local mines to be crushed. The guy running the scrap-handler had a mine pick up that had to be crushed and for kicks & giggles wanted to blow the 5.4 liter engine before they scrapped it. So he pulls the intake off throws a BUNCH of dirt in the intake, fired it up and let it idle... NOTHING! I got in and reved her to the Max for 2 or 3 minutes... While he was throwing dirt in the intake... NOTHING!!! Got to say... BUILT FORD TOUGH! We crushed with out blowing the engine
Yeah probably so. But we didn't have time to knock a hole in the oil pan... thought it would have enough power to blow itself.
Scrapping Ford Why is he scrapping a good vehicle, ask obambi. My friend runs a wrecking yard and he has over 200 clunkers, some are in great shape but he can sell everything but the engine block and the chassis. He must crush within 6 months. They have agents paid by you to check wrecking yards to see if they are following the rules. He had a beautiful 1998 F-150 Super Cab with leather interior and the Govment poured liquid glass in the oil pan. Great looking white Mustang with white leather interior going into the crusher, I could not watch. Do not blame me, I voted for the AMERICAN!!!! Texasjack
