Hello all New Member here from Michigan, I came here to possibly plan to buy an old 70,s Maverick or Comet to work on and enjoy with my wife over the next few years. Originally I was a GM man my first self purchased car was a 1979 Trans Am and she was a big fan of Mustangs, which brings me here I really like the Mavericks body style and the early 70's Comet. So hopefully in the next 5 or so months I can find a some what solid car to start my journey as the big name muscle cars become more scarce and alot more $$$. Hopefully I can learn alot from the community here.
From the Oklahoma Texas border.. This is the place for these cars. All the information and advise you need is here. In time and with patience you may find what you are looking for. There is a classified section you can watch.. Alot of guys also post up links to finds.
I live in Harrison Twp but have a place on Fawn Island so I am in your town a bit in the summers. Let me know if you ever need anything on the prospective project, I'd be glad to help.
youre starting in the right place just be sure to buy a comet theyre way cooler (theres a bit of maverick comet rivalry here) there have been a few cars listed for sale lately and theres always news of mavericks and comets for sale somewhere in the country. theres guys all over here like me that cruise a bunch of different websites daily looking for mavericks and comets for sale
Thanks everyone Yeah I will be spending a few weeks reading different things, I do know after seeing the thread about taking a 4 door maverick and doing a grabber clone with it kind of looks appealing seeing as It seems they are easier to find, and would be easier to involve my kids on cruises.
Welcome from Panama City, Florida, Yeah buy a Comet they are way cooler.....from all the air rushing through the rusted out places! (I couldn't resist that) Seriously though, I am now wanting a Comet, I wanna build the Cosmic Blues HotWheels car.
