I think they meant to say Maverick as the Coemt only started in 71.

If I had the money I'd buy a hood.
But for that kind of money, I'll stick w/ the junk one I got

hey Andy...that's the reason mine is still steel. Can't seem to bring myself to give $400+ for something that won't drop the ET.

Now that being said, lifting the hood every time I make a pass is kind of a PITA but I can live with it....at least 'til I win the lottery (or you give me a loan!)

    As for the loan...
why don't you loan me your manual steering parts, old fuel cell, fuel lines, etc etc haha :)
and anything else you didn't use when you put the M2 front end under that car...

Andy, before you get to far on it, pull that tranny and get it to me for rebuild. Also that car may have some rearched or added leaves in the rear springs. Also gave Terry some front springs for it but he said they made it sit the same height as the ones that are in it. I am not sure he even tried putting mine in. Might have trick springs in front and that makes it sit higher?????

There were a couple folks on the boards that bought most of the manual steering stuff. For those of you who did, thanks a bunch and I hope it worked out for ya. About the only thing I have leftover is the fuel cell, a bunch of -10AN hoses, filter, an -8AN return hose, and regulator & pump. Haven't decided if I wanna let go of it yet, though. I had it on mine with the Dominator until I went with the toilet. I may try to build some sort of primer to idle/start on gas (which I may need the regulator for it) but then again maybe not...still undecided. Have to get it up & running first, which is still a long way off. I'll keep ya in mind though. Do you still need those rear wheels & tires?

I'll get the motor/tranny out as soon as I get the money to rent a hoist.
Im broke at the moment, so I can't afford a rebuild kit for the tranny... but I'll get to it.
Kid is tearing my funds up at the current time. I need the front lowered bad.
I tried to lower the rear but it ended up raising it.... weird.
Ask JR about it, i showed him saturday.
Car has a lot of work 2 go but its getting there

Thats a cool hood, but I would watch VIS racings quality. I bought one for my Talon and the weave was gimped up in some spots under the gelcoat or whatever the clear outer layer is. Looked like the weave pulled off of the gelcoat before everything was dry or something. Also, run hood pins no matter what. I have seen countless pics of flipped up VIS hoods due to the latch pulling out of the hood.

    AC

EDIT: In VIS's defense, the hood did fit very well, and the defective one was replaced with a good one.

Two 1973 LDO Mavericks (one 4 Drag one 4 driving like Mad on the roads :) ) also have a 75 6cyl Stock! Ok, well sort of Stock :P
THIS IS NOT THE SAME HOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nor do they have 20 of them!

ok guys... i've been away for work as well as a passing of a family memeber. so with all that crap, i get back to my e-mails and people are e-mailing me left to right about this hood on ebay!!

i have spoke with my friend who is the one who made my hood just to make sure he's not the one doing the e-bay! HE IS NOT!!! nor is he selling this hood to any dealer or company!

and this one on e-bay is not only listed incorrectly but he does not have 20 of them! VIS is not the one selling this hood it is a dealer of VIS!

so its not the same HOOD! this is a dealer using a photo that someone took of my car! not to meantion that its listed as a wrong appication and everyone knows that a maverick hood don't have a latch on it like the one pictured on e-bay!

IMO for those of your talking about shipping.. large wholesaler / dist is going to ship truck! and $150 is an avg going rate for a truck.. if you want it bad enough you'll pay for it... and if its a maverick hood in carbon fiber well enough said. if you think a company gonna cry over one sale ... that company shouldn't be in business.

so all in all if you wanna risk sending your money to him via ebay.. go for it!

    and good luck!

also i almost forgot.. look at this guys feedback not to mention what this guys sells.. its not the maufacture! they why they say WATCH OUT what you buy on ebay!

sorry but i will post this information on all post regarding this... so if you read it already i'm sorry!
