hey whats up people! im new here and happy to join yall. I live in Houston,Tx and on the weekends I live in Needville,TX. pretty long story.Im 16 and just bought my first car which is a 1970 Ford Maverick. I bought it 3 days ago. It has a working straight six. It has a column shift and bench seats. I bought it for $400 It's actually not in a bad condition for a 400 dollar car. The body is good, only the hood has rust eating through part of it, by the fender. It is a green avocado color. Paint isnt shiny and some of the paint is chipping off the passenger side. The interior is the worst part of the car. The vinyl on the doors is falling off, and the headliner is falling of too. The dash is in pretty good condition. All the lights on the car work except for the reverse lights. There are a few other problems I need help with. i will post them on the other forums. thanks for listening!
make sure to use the search feature on each thing before starting a new thread, because a lot of it has been covered. in fact if you search interior and gauges seperately youll find some posts with pics of different interior mods people have made
You have picked a great first car. Your friends will want one after they ride in it. I'm 18, wouldn't trade my Mavericks for the world.
Good luck with the mav, what a great first car! I'd take a maverick over a honda civic that seems to take up half the school parking lot here..Welcome to the forums! And personally, i think interiors are overrated. My current car might as well not even have one, lol.
