Hey everyone, I just wanted to say hey as I am now the proud owner of a new to me 1977 comet. Bought it form a guy who got it from his grandmother who bought it new. Cost me 1100 dollars and has only 40k original miles. Needs lots of work to the body as rust has gotten the best of it. But for the price I could resist not joibing the club.

I want to take it all down and see what I'm up againast. What is the best way and easiest to take her down to bare metal. I don't mind going to buy a blaster as my wifes car needs a paint job too. But what type of blaster if that's the best way

I look foroward tp learning and adding much
Pics when I get her next Saturday

    Tom

I am using paint stripper and a cup style wire wheel on a grinder then a da sander, but make sure you wash it down with lacquer thinner before sandind

:Welcome:to the site..... Whatever you do don't sand blast the outer sheet metal..... Either take it to a media blaster or just use stripper like I did.....
