Obviously there are no pillar gauge kits for our cars. I was wondering if anybody has done this successfully. And if not..could I just bolt them to the pillar? do something like this http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/import-store_2071_4139913892
maybe the pre-formed pillar guage pods for another application would look OK? Too bad Im not at the shop, I have a 3 gauge pillar pod for 88-98 Chevy/GMC truck. I could see if it sorta fits my A-pillar and let you know.
yeah it looks simple to me I was just i little surprised because i've never seen any on a Maverick before
the pillars on our cars are very narrow. modern cars have pillars about 3 times as thick so they have suface area and usually have a plastic cover that can be replaced by a pod or a pod can be put over. our pillar is just bare metal with windshield gasket on oneside and the door seal on the other. you could screw into it but i doubt you can achive the molded in stock look that most pods try to achive.
i tried to find the prouct but i couldnt there are some slime line guages that have a pod with a pedastal that can bolt almost anywere and look pretty cool but i cant remember the product name i will see if i can find it
I recently saw a video of a Mav from Brazil with them. I'm trying to find it but that video was just out of the blue and they probably made it so that it had some weird tags on it so fidning the viedo is hard. If I find it I'll post it up for you.
