Pneumatic Hood Supports - Anybody swap out their original hood support and put in pneumatic supports? I'm looking at doing this and have come across replacement parts and some universal kits (on Summit for example). I'm checking with the community here if someone has a part number or brand name they went with that worked out well. Thanks!
Do you mean the shock kind? If so those are what i'm running. I'm using them off a nissan maxima. If you do a search you should be able to find several threads on them.
Thanks Yea, I did some archive searching and looks like people do their own homebrew version of them. Was checking to see if there was an actual product kit that someone might of had luck with to do this. Like the Mustang ones for example.

They have stated in email correspondence that they are willing to make a Maverick kit, but they need someone to supply a car for them to design a proper kit. They only do specific applications and not generic 1 size fits all. They are located in Dexter, MI.
A lot of new/existing members in Michigan now...maybe someone will volunteer to get it done. Does anyone know the weight difference between the Mav hood vs Comet hood?
BTW. On the front page of their site, they state that the person who provides the car gets a free kit and their car is featured on the web site and in the instruction manual for the kit.
