i was wondering what the name of the metal trim is called tht goes on the lip of the quarter pannel that is held in by metal screws. and where i could buy one?? do they make new one, or would i have buy from another maverick / comet owner, or maybe find one on E-bay , ETC.. is the metal trim different form the quarter pannels vs the trim on the fenders!?!? thanks
If you're talking about wheel well trim then each piece is different. The front trim is different on a small bumper car around the valance but the rear trim is the same no matter what size bumper you have. I'm not aware of this part swapping to a different make/model/year.
for the rear wheel trim can one side of wheel trim be swapped to ether side of the rear or is it like the drivers rear trim is driver side only an passenger rear wheel trim ,only fit on passenger rear wheel trim!?!???? do they sell this in a catalog or this something i have to get else where !?!?
They don't swap front to back or left to right. They made a left rear and a right rear...left front and right front. The front trim from a small bumper and big bumper are different because a small bumper car has a valance and the big bumper has a big bumper. The rear wheel well trim is the same for all years. If you want wheel well trim NOS, eBay, junkyard or parts car is the only choice at this time. I got my trim from 3 different junkyards off 4 different cars.
