I tried searching the archives, so if this has been addressed before please send me to the appropriate thread. Question..........has anyone tried this rack and pinion setup. Looks slick!! http://www.ebay.com/itm/1970-thru-1...Parts_Accessories&hash=item5b0e5dec0f&vxp=mtr
There are cheaper ways to do it. If I was going to spend that much money, I would (did) go full Mustang II. http://rcmotorsportsinc.com/rc-106-complete-conventional-coil-spring-conversion/#prettyPhoto/0/
Thanks Scooper! I've seen the R and C kit before. I'll skip the yellow. I think they make one specifically for the maverick.
Yes. Several of us have them. They make the RC-106 standard kit, and the RC-107 coilover. I used the 106 because I got it half price from a buddy who bought it and gave up on the car and sold it to me after he sold his car. It isn't yellow, unless you paint it yellow. That yellow is just to show all the parts that are part of the kit. The black is part of the stock car, the yellow is all the stuff you get when you buy the kit. Here is what I ended up with...
To answer your question, yes, Nick Dominick has the Unisteer R&P on his Maverick and appears to really like it. I have also purchased the Unisteer R&P kit which will be installed on my car when (and if?) I ever get it back from the body shop. Nick has posted numerous times on this forum regarding this kit.
Rick, They are a distributor. The shop in question is a hot rod shop located off of RT 5 in the Newton Falls area. I have passed it on many occasions. The manufacturer is Unisteer in Twinsburg.
