Rear quarter filler cap?

    Has anyone done a side mounted gas filler and smoothed the rear panel? Maybe a flip style racing cap? Grafted on a door style?
    What sort of fuel tank would you use for this?

    Didn't Tom Hackman do this on the orange car he has?? I had some pics saved but now I can't find them. Try doing a search on his posts. Hope this helps!

    I used a 89 probe and a 90 mustang release. The main reason for this mod was I hate filling the tank with that POS stock unit. Now I can fill the car like the new ones :D The only thing I would change is 1" higher.

    I missed the last part of that question, I made my gas tank from .063 6061 Aluminum.
