So I just installed my hooker headers and now my shift linkage won't fit back on is there anything I can do to make it work?

I know but I am going as stock as possible and I heard whispers of an allusive cable shifter

Yea, that's not going to work with headers.

Look into Electric shifters as in solenoid shift. The 2014 charger uses one. You would probably have to be creative, hope this helps.(y)

I have a B&M Quick Silver shifter in my '74. It is a ratchet shifter. I like it because as you ratchet from neutral to low the stick remains in the center position. To go up thru the gears you just bang the stick forward.
