okay, so i have the 2 speed Taurus fan, and the Volvo controller. my question is, is there a way you can just put one toggle switch for high and one for low instead of using the bmw temp sensor? so I could just switch them on or off manually. thanks

There is no point in running both speeds. ive used the fan on multiple applications and always just wire up the high speed.

just make sure the fan is running on low when you switch the high on...then switch the low off at the same time you switch the high on.
an...on/off/on switch (3 way) would work better than two on/off switches...go from off to low and then straight through off to high...(30 amp breakers)...:yup:

i use a on/off/on on mine for a manual override if i want to keep it cooler or the sensor decides to crap out. works good.

when I tried the high side only it would blow 75 amp fuses.
with the Volvo relay wired the correct way (low to high) I ran the fan on a 20 amp breaker...:yup:

The two trigger wires on the controler will go to the on side pole of your on/off/on switch and a short wire to the off pole to ground

on pole to low speed trigger wire

off pole short wire to ground

on pole to high speed trigger wire
