Just a heads up, ive had one of the 'generic' hei distributors in my 76 for about 5 years and its worked really, really well. So not going to swap to a (duraspark). However, I just went through the topend on my car, its modded with a cam, milled head and machined to take an autolite 2bbl. 6-1 header and have been happy with it. I railed it pretty good a few times and wanted a rev limiter, this seemed the best way to go w/out going too crazy, and the multiple spark feature seems to be a good benefit.

Has anyone run one of these ignition modules and seen improvement in general performance (v8 or I6)? keep in mind, its a street driven car so im not looking to shave tenths.

You're set up is basically what we're doing right now for our '74 Comet with a 250ci. We have a '78 big log head (from a Fairmont) in the performance shop right now. It's getting a performance valve job, new springs, ported, etc. Then it's off to the machine shop for milling and tapping for a 2bbl Holley Street Avenger. We're also going with a bigger cam, too.
Do you mind if I ask which cam you went with?
I see you also have an HEI distributor. Right now we have a Pertronix (40K) Flame Thrower coil and did the electronic conversion on our stock distributor. Do you recommend the upgrade to HEI?
I was looking at this one... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073WMZJB...colid=NPSTWOYSOGVN&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it
Oh... and we already have a 3.80 posi installed in the diff and an AOD trans ready to go in, too.

I'm running the Pertronix Flame Thrower - programmable Rev Limiter HEI module with the DSII and Ford TFI coil. Centrifugal Advance is limited to @ 24 degrees and vacuum is eliminated with the boost . The '74 has a fairly stock bottom end 250 with a Vortech Supercharger blowing through a heavily modified 2300/350 7448 Holley, T5 OD tranny, Centerforce clutch and 3.80 posi rear. Cyl head is freshened, back-cut valves, 302 springs with no milling done to keep @ 8.7:1 SCR. With boost approaching one bar, it's adds confidence to have a rev limit when my right foot gets too ambitious ...
