    Fresh out of Mavericks
I started with an Edelbrock 1406 600 cfm with electric choke (similar to the 1405 in one of the first posts). After I started messing with the engine, it began to run lean. I kept upping jets and rods and eventually ran out of adjustments.

Sold it and a friend had a 600 cfm Holley double pumper, which I figured would be a little richer on WOT. It was, but a couple more modifications later, and couldn't keep up.

I used it on the current 5.0 briefly, but it was miserable.

Spent money on my first NEW part and got a Holley 750 Street HP. Everyone said it would be too much carb, but my car LIKES it.

Put it on the dyno with Strictly Performance in Houston, spent a couple hours swapping jets, tuned down the primary idle circuits (not needed at low speed) and now it runs great! With plenty of room to grow.

Both. With the 9 corner idle circuits, three stage power valves and multi-port shooters.

Ain't no such thing as a double pumper with vacuum secondaries. You can have either, but not both.

Amazes me how many people think if it has dual fuel lines going in it's a double pumper. See it all the time. Maybe someday they will learn, it's one of my pet peeves.
