I wouldn't pay more than you can get a pair re - done for, to do so would be illogical.

Some people want that original factory finish....NOT show chrome. That is the person that would pay more than getting a set rechromed.

Chroming isn't done just anywhere anymore. I checked in the Dallas area and only a few places does it for a mint. Bunch of laws concerning chemicals..

We always used a guy that builds custom motor cycles - he sends the parts out to someone in Jersey for chroming - a friend just sent out his 32 Ford windshield frame - this guy will chrome anything :)

If you put them on Ebay for $300 they'd sell.

Ill throw them on Ebay for $300, unless someone wants to pay $200 + shipping (which is like 10$ for a flat rate box in lower 48)

Not a huge rush to sell, but want to make sure I get a fair price for them...

remember ebay charges 9 percent and a final value fee and a shipping fee then pay pal takes a cut too straight out without e-bay 200.00 is a fair price

There is a place in Cleveland Ohio that rechromed mine and someone else's here on the board. It was hard finding someone that would do the pot metal. Think I paid $150 for the set.

I'm gonna come off as a dick posting this but those pics are bugging me.

You need to be careful when you photograph NOS chrome parts. You cannot photograph them in bad light, or too closely reflected light. Those parts look like the chrome won't last long judging by the pictures. You need to get a closer to full spectrum light source at least 3 feet away to photograph chrome enough to see how well it's chemical bonding is holding up.

Based on those photos, I wouldn't have bought it without expecting to re-chrome it.

Just commenting on the pictures is all (especially the first one with obvious smudges and fingerprints on it making the bond look like it had about 2 hours of UV exposure left in it).

I may not be clear enough, I am not commenting on the parts in any way, I'm certainly no judge. The photos just give me a bad impression of the parts.
