Springs!!

I want to know if a mustang spring compressor will work to remove them from my 73 maverick.? I can rent one from Kragens..

 

Never heard of a "Mustang" spring compressor. But if it looks like this, then yes, it will do the job.

 

Thanks rthomas yeah they have one that is meant for the mustangs but I didn't know if it will work.. Most the time my question are confusing!

 

was the "mustang" one the same as the one in the pics?

 

Yes it was the same, but need a three inch pipe to make it work to remove springs.. Careful how you do this it will bite you!!!

 

...I removed about 20-25 springs and only pipe I used was a cheater pipe on the end of my ratchet.

 

I didn't use it correctly but it came out ok.

 

How do you use it?
