Pretty excited...............Im in the process of installing a 89 5.0 injected motor in my 1977 Maverick with a 250 6cyl. (my grandmother's car that I inherited) Scored at the salvage yard yesterday with small front and rear bumpers along with a couple of dbl.hump transmission crossmembers. First of many questions............how hard is it to convert to the bumpers and when it comes to engine harnesses for the swap, what brand of aftermarket harness should I buy or just convert the factory harness (I'm not good with electronics) in the 5 gallon bucket with the engine I bought.

Keep us posted on your progress. My Comet GT originally had a 250 6cyl. And now sports a 302. I was at Peach Days in 2012 and was at the Cache Valley Cruise last year. If you were at either of the car shows I hope you got a chance to look over my GT. I would be glad to help answer any questions on about the motor swap etc. just let me know :tiphat:

Welcome from Ky. I see you didn't get an answer to your question. There was a company called the Detail Zone, Ron Francis bought that co. and hired the owner, his name escapes me. You can call and talk directly to him(the orignal owner) tell him what you have, what accessories you want and he will build you a harness that will plug right into the 5.0. Your hardest part is going to be your fuel delivery system to support the fuel injection. Good luck with everything.
