Hello everyone my name is Brad and I'm an old caraholic.

Pull the door panel off, and get at the guts.

your lock rod has probably come off from someone trying to open it before, if the passenger door is intact, just use a j hook , or a strong coat hanger, and pull up on the lock button, you will need a wedge to put between the glass and door, dont spread it too much,

You might have to remove the front seat in order to get the door panel off and do what Dave B suggested....."get at the guts".

    No....will not work.

A Maverick/Comet/Granada/Monarch are all rear steer cars where as the Pinto/Bobcat/Mustang II are all front steer cars so the spindles won't interchange :)

Take your time, and don't wreck the door panel, it can be done, I've done it on a car, with the seats in.
