If you come to Carlisle and want to park with the rest of the Mavericks for the Mini-Meet we are having there....you will need to tell them it is a Maverick. Otherwise they will park you with all the other older Comets.

Ok. I just opened the pic in Photobucket and it looks like it does not have the stainless slats on the grill. The grill DOES look amazing though as does the rest of the car..
At some point I will need to get some rims. I like those you have.. To me the tires are just a tad tall. But I am one of those I like wider than tall lol. I never thought the 15s looked right on our cars but your rims do look good. So now i'm thinking 15s and a little shorter tire for mine. I see allot of us going to 17s and those look good also. But then I might have to alter stuff and i'm just wanting to put the car together and not get into all the extra work at this time.
Did you add the top or did it already have it?

    Thanks!!

Thanks!! I was kind of wondering what you meant by slats, but you're talking about the cars that had the little stainless pieces on the grille.

The tires and wheels fit the car well. We got the wheels from Kentucky Mustang and got the Mercury head center caps for them.

The top was already on the car and I'm sure that the condition it was in has been replaced sometime. We got the Marti Report for the car and it is a true GT and it did come originally with the vinyl top. The only things that have been changed over the years is that someone added power steering and front disc brakes to the car, which is a plus!

    :D Thanks!!

    Thanks!!

Like Gene, this car gives ME hope that i will someday be riding around in my Grabber again! I really like the colour combo and have also become a fan of the black vinyl top! I watched this car from the day it was posted on e-Bay and hoped that someone like you and your uncle would get it and give it the time and attention it deserved. You have done a fabulous job detailing it and it looks amazing!! BTW, those front seats look horrible! If you want, I'll PM you my address and you can just ship them to me and I'll get rid of them for you...:D:rofl2:

    Thanks!!

    Thanks Paul!!

We have really enjoyed working on the car!! I guess my uncle will keep his seats. I don't think he wants to ride around Carlisle sitting on a milk crate!! :rofl2:

    Thanks!

We are getting there. My uncle drove up to Auto Krafters and VA Classic Mustang today and picked up a few more small items that we want to get done before next month.
