I managed to squeak my way out of taking the kids to gymnastics classes this evening. Instead, I was able to spend an hour and a half or so sandblasting more of the engine compartment. Whoever was in charge of spraying the black paint sure was heavy-handed on the drivers side shock tower!

I didn't bother taking any pictures, as I don't think the change is that noticeable. I DID however, take Craigs advice and used a tarp... I was able to recover more than 3/4 of the sand I used. The other 1/4 is divided between my boxer shorts and my windshield wiper system ( I forgot to remove the wiper posts and motor before I started sandblasting...)

What I found to work pretty good is a 5 gallon bucket with real steel screen duck taped to the top for sifting. This also helps to sift it which also helps drying if it has any moisture.

Thanks Gene! That's basically what I have, but it's a store-bought item that I am borrowing from a friend. The inside bottom of the bucket is conical in shape, so the sand flows into the hose really good. I gathered up the tarp and then dumped the sand and foreign objects into a plastic kitty-litter container, then poured it out of the litter container through the screen that snaps onto the top of the bucket.

My biggest issue right now is that the compressor is running constantly and then I start getting moisture coming out the tip of the gun. I need a few more SCFM and lot more "tank".

Painted my kick panels, arm rests, the leather cover on my shifter knob and the covers/inserts that go in the rear interior panels for the seat belts(don't know what they're called). I used the SEM paint and everything looks pretty darn good.

    73 Grabber,
I ordered my 425hp 347ci stroker from Prestige Motorsports today. Going in the 73 Grabber. While I'm waiting the two months for it to arrive I decided to dismantle the front end of the 72 Comet to do a clean-up and general restoration. Damm...I need a life. Getting it ready to sell it in a few weeks,

I FINALLY got my rear end in gear to put together my rear end :D

Spool and Disc brakes, new rotors and pads on the way, and in the mean time a nice black paint job.

I have a wilwood billet reservoir coming today, the pos plastic reservoir leaks and I can't get it to stop... If you do a hydraulic clutch do your self a favor and get a one pc. metal reservoir...
