man i hate having heart problems. since ive had my check up my cardiologist has kept me out of work and it may be possible that ill have to get a pace maker to regulate my heart beats.. my job dosnt do payed medical leave so im out of cash. i would love to start tearing down the whole front end of my car but of course health comes first. ive been doing a lot of looking online and on this forum i looked at AUSSIEBJ's old maverick SCCA road race car pics from 2011 and got inspired. i would love to build a simple one to drive on the road and track with old steelies from diamond racing wheels, a six point cage and some racing seats and only keeping the heater core in it for winter driving, i also want to upgrade to five lug disk all around and upgrade the suspension to a kit with steering upgrade as well. im gonna keep the old 200 six in it for fuel milage and eventually get a fully assembled aluminum head from classic inlines and a new carb, distributor and ignition, and maybe a T5 swap, or 4 speed :drive:, but this is just a wish list for now. hopefully my heart can get figured out so i can get back to work..

I'm right there with you. Different issues, but they kinda come down to having to spend the money on other things instead of my car. Like last year I finished saving up for my front disk brakes, and my flat screen in the living room blew up. So rather than having a mad wife, I bought a flat screen (and now my cars broken from bad brakes...) I've a wish list as long as my arm fortunately.

I've also got a lot of stuff ready to get installed, I'm just waiting on weather, and the cash for one of these:

I'm thinking that should help immensely with my carpal tunnel issues and not being able to turn wrenches anymore.

yep, eventually there wont be some other better need for $100 soon. So I guess really I'm waiting on permission from the wife. I keep thinking since new shocks on her Rodeo is the top of my list she will let me buy it soon.

Things like this make a big difference in how much you can still do. My dad went on disability for his heart a few years ago, and he's been replacing all his tools. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it.
