so i went to the annual thanksgiving point swap meet here in Utah yesterday and really didn't find too much comet or maverick parts. found a couple sets of tail lights and some standard ford hubcaps that could have come on a maverick but i did find a nice comet hood emblem that has no pitting on it. so 5 bucks later that's the only part i purchased yesterday.

I was there with my yellow 73 Comet GT. Found a Mercury trunk lid emblem, perfect condition with all four pins entact. (y)

Good score - it's hard to find anything shiny on our cars left for sale without pits :thumbs2:

Yeah! Quite the name eh. Probably only someone who lives here would know what it is. They have a Car Show there every May in a Large park, with a big Auto part and vehicle type swap meet. This year I believe they had 700+ autos there. There were NO Comets or Mavericks there but mine:huh: got lots of lookers though. Do a search for Thanksgiving Point Utah and it will give a history of the name and what there is there. It's a family type resort with lots of thing there to do and see. Check it out :tiphat:

you know whats funny i have only ever gone into the car show once about 5 years ago. i end up walking through the swap meet a few times looking for treasures and am ready to go. i was thinking about heading in this year but my daughter was pooped out and did want to walk any more. wish i had gotten in to see your comet.
