My stripes were painted on, so the Grabber is not on my fender. I want to have a decal made to put on the fender, over my stripe. Im tired of average non-Maverick people always saying "my buddy (or whoever) had a Maverick, but his was a Grabber" If I ever get around to having it painted, I'll buy a new stripe kit for it. Is it possible to just take a picture and have a sign company make one, is is there some copy right stuff there?

I find it easier to be hard of hearing and ignore comments made by people "uh what did you say you have a grabber"

I'm sure AK doesn't "make" them, but it's a start...

If you want a photograph of one of mine for your sticker guy to use, PM me your e-mail address and I can get you a good straight-on picture of mine. :tiphat:

..and yes, I realize mine are screen-printed ontop of the reflective stripe, but the pic would just be for a pattern...

Paul, I believe those are what I'm looking for! I think that will be easier than trying to find someone to make them, Thanks!!!

The machine used to make those stripes/decals is called a Plotter.

Reproducing the Grabber stripes could be done. Ideally you would want a set of NOS stripes to measure and copy. The other thing needed would be the material. 3M is about the only company that makes the material. Is it reflective tape? that stuff is expensive.

I just bought one from Jim Osbourne Reproductions. They were cheaper than Auto Krafters.

Why would you want decals? Your car is a '71, which had painted stripes.
'72s had the decals. Paint is much nicer when done correctly.

When I was around 20 I used it to black out all my stainless. Then I black primed spray bombed the whole car.
