How do you determine the selling price on a Maverick?

Is the NADA worth using or is it just gut feel?

I'd guess that NADA is probably not a good reflection from
a collector's standpoint. For standard transportation it is
probably accurate, other than that, I would not rely on it.

Give details here and you are more likely to get some opinions
    that are reliable.

I am so confused on this car it is not funny. The day I saw it, I bought it. I knew it needed a lot of work, but, it just continues to frustrate me to no end.

I paid $1000, put in about $250-300 and now trying to decide to keep going or throw in the towel.

Body is fair, you can see a pretty good dent in the door, and the previous owner used bed liner spray (actually looks ok for this) where the partial vinyl top was.

Motor - 200 6cyl, new fuel pump, water pump, plugs, wires - I think the biggest problem is in the carb (not original) and vacuum lines. Idles rough, and now it pings after about 3 miles, then it will stop and purr after another 5 miles or so.

Front End - Loose, I replaced ball joint, suspension bar bushings, bar linkage ends. Power steering converter needs to be fixed or replaced.

    Trans - Leaks - Slips

    Tires - New tires.

I drive this car daily, 25 miles round trip.

I have been talking with someone from here about picking up a motor and swapping it, just not sure. My health is not as good as it once was, and I am on a limited budget and work space.

Just tackle the problems one at a time. It sounds like the carb might need a rebuild, or maybe the engine just needs a good tune-up. At any rate, it is a nice car, and I think you can handle the problems, if you take your time and get a good book, Chiltons is a good one. The folks here on the board are a great source of information, and are always eager to help. Hang in there, and don't give up. Good luck!
