The gauge may be designed for a GM sender

GM 0 Ohms Empty 90 Ohms Full
Ford 73 Ohms Empty 10 Ohms full

    71 Comet fuel gauge

The ohm at the tank sending unit is 30ohm around 1/2 full but the Pro-sun gauge show full. Do I need a special gauge? The gauge will go to empty with switch off.

    Comet fuel gauge

Anyone no where to get aftermarket fuel gauge 7ohm to 73ohm. I have been told that the Sunpro is 33ohm to 230ohm show full all the time.
They told me to change sending unit but I don't think they would have one to fit 1971 Comet. Any help you can give me.
    Thanks Sam.
