BKelley sent me a youtube link on how to fix a passenger loose mirror. It looked easy enough so I thought I give it a try. Every thing came out as planned except the quality of the cheap Dorman replacement lens. I will be ordering new lens from West Coast Classic Cougar to do this job right. Here is a link on how I fixed my floppy mirror. http://1bad6t.com/Maverick/maverick_50.html

Jeff and I are planning a...work shop...on this in a couple of weeks at my shop.
I will post when it's going to be.
I think I have a mirror to use.
another option we talked about was using rivets instead of screws.
    stay tuned...:yup:

Just read this how-to on Shorthorns. :thumbs2: Where did you get your replacement mirror from though?

Most auto part stores will have/can get a Dorman replacement lens. I got mine from Summit Racing since Summit is in my neighborhood

Thanks for that video, mine works great now!! One tip from me tho, if your mirror glass is in good shape and are too cheap to get a new one(me!)then try heating the four corners of the metal base carefully and slowly, I used a torch on very low flame, then try and slide a thin putty knife under the edge of the glass and it will release from the back piece un-broken, then once repaired simply dab some goop on each corner and reinstall glass.
