picked up another Maverick today

    other then a little surface rust, this car is as solid as the
    day it came off the showroom....

    check out this pic of the floorboards..
    this is what an Az car looks like thats 40+ yrs old
    and never seen salt or snow ..
    I havent even powerwashed it underneath yet :)

    Awesome find....I know where a 1 owner 1972 302 car is but only difference is that she wont sell. Here she was closing door after letting me look. :(

    The sad part is the car will still be there after she is gone and her children might send it to the scrap yard :(

    yep, Ive seen it so many times..
    the parents who love the car but wont sell it to a good home
    die, and the kids who inherit it dont care about the car and
    have it hauled off for scrap or sell it cheap and then someone
    if they are lucky will get a good deal.

    I went through something like that just this weekend where a friend of mine had bought a 47 Ford about 5 years ago and it came with a top loader 4 speed and he decided to go with a C4 instead - he told me that I could have the top loader for free and all he had to do was dig it out of the shed - bottom line is his Dad saw no value in it, it took up space, it had to be junk and turned it into a few dollars at the scrap metal yard :cry:
