I know the 71 bucket seats latch in the center which is different than how the 72 and 73 bucket seats which latch at the outer sides of the seat. I know the latch handles are also different between the 71 versus the 72-73 seats

My question is can you switch a 71 seat to latch at the outer sides like the 72-73 seats do? Is it just a matter of relocating the latch catch and possibly changing the latch itself or is it more complicated than that?

I thought I had read on here one time that some one posted all you had to do was remount the latch to the outer side but when I did a search I could not find anything on it.

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Mike,

That was the post I read and was looking for. Thanks for locating it for me. I am hit and miss on the search thing. I will have to touch base with Captain comet to get all the fine details. I have a set of 71 buckets that I want to switch out to latch on the outside. I also have set of 73 buckets to get all of the hardware from to do the switch. I prefer the 71 to 72 style bucket seats to the 73 style bucket seats. Thanks again!!
