After pestering Allen for the last 2 years to get his Grabber inspected & registered, so he could attend car shows & cruises with us. He finally did it. Now he's glad he did. We had a blast on Sunday. Looking forward to getting together the rest of the year. I like the original color. Don't see many powder blue (baby blue) Mavericks. Here are a few pictures, enjoy!
Coop, I had a good time there with you and Howard at the show. I look forward to attending more shows this summer with it. There is still a lot I want to do to this car. New carpet is suppose to be in this week, touch up the paint, install the headers on the 302. Mostly cosmetic stuff. My son is going to be totally surprised when I give it to him for his 21st birthday. He thinks the 73 Orange and White Grabber we are restoring in the garage is his but that will end up being the one I finish for myself. He drove this car as his first car for awhile until he got into the diesel pick up truck scene. So he has a very fond spot in his heart for this car and I know it so it will be his come 9/9/2014. I will sign the title over to him. Then he can come with us too. Thanks again Coop for staying on me to get it inspected. I do tend to let other things get in the way of having fun. Also thanks everyone for the nice comments. Thanks Allen Small
Thanks again for the compliments. It is an original Grabber and it is the original color. I want to say the paint code is 5B but not for sure I will have to check. It is a bucket seat car with C4 auto in the floor. The car has a mild 302 motor now but was a 6 cyl car originally. It has a 9" rear with 3:72. Posi unit front disk with manual steering and 7/8" front sway bar. I can Thank Coop again for getting me motivated to do something with it!! Thanks Coop! Now to get the other stuff done to it before I pass it on Thanks Allen Small.
Could be "3B", as "5" is usually associated with browns; "3" is usually blue. Beautiful car, nonetheless!! Nice to see something different for a change!! Your son is a lucky guy!
