Hi all, I have been a long time lurker here at the forums and have finally joined. However, its for a not so good reason. Anyways, my 72 Comet was in a crash and the left inner fender apron is crunched pretty good. The auto body shop guy said he could try to pull it out, but a new one would be better to weld on. So does anyone know where I could get one of these? I've been looking and haven't had any luck. Thanks for the help
I would think being in California, there would be plenty of rust-free donor cars in junkyards to get a fender apron. I'm not sure exactly where you are, but a quick search within 250 miles of Sacramento reveals the following: http://row52.com/Search/?Year=&V1=&...50&MakeId=132&ModelId=4854&Page=1&IsVin=false Not sure if the yards will allow grinding, but a cordless drill, a few batteries and a drill bit would get you the fender apron. There is a member here that has several parts, etc. You may want to contact him as well. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=98444 Good Luck in your search!
Their a few rust free mavericks here in the local junkyard in vallejo ca, theirs also one in fairfield pick n pull.
